The moon today

Felt the power of the stars

Burning vastness beyond creation

It had faded from its planet so long ago

See stars die

And universes collide

It asked what it could do

About the turmoil and unrest

About the stars themselves

The moon today saw the flames go out

And the quiet space creaked open

What could the moon do

But dance in a new universe

Full of light

Full of song

The moon today saw the  new song

And it still didn’t know its purpose

Its song

Its very path

That Decided so long ago for it to just be a moon
